I've been working as a print and textile designer with Kylee Alexander, a fashion designer from Chicago. This line is about the distortion, manipulation, and ultimately, ownership of the female identity . We live in a time where it's crucial to take responsibility in owning the story of our identity. The intent of the line is to reveal a personal story of living through shattered domestic and gender ideal. In fashion, the story of gender is reframed and revolts taboo as the story is told from the perspective of a woman who regains confidence and community through the will to stand within the power of speaking and identifying her own truth.
